An inverter is required to convert DC to AC for home use. Direct connection could cause unstable power supply, equipment malfunction, and regulatory issues under NEM policies. Additionally, connecting directly could force you into NEM 3.0, which offers less favorable terms than NEM 2.0.

What if my house panel is already connected to a rooftop solar system?
If your house panel is already connected to a rooftop solar system via AC coupling through an inverter, it is compatible with Smart Home Panel 2. However, if the grid fails, the AC coupling system will also stop working. When the grid is active, the solar system can charge the Delta Pro Ultra as a load.
