Viridian - C5L Custom Laser Sight for Kimber Micro CDS9

The Viridian C5L Custom Laser Sight significantly enhances the Kimber Micro CDS9 by providing rapid target acquisition and improved visibility. The green laser is daylight-visible, which ensures that you can quickly and accurately aim at your target in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the integrated tactical light with 550 lumens and 26,000 candela offers excellent illumination, making it easier to identify threats in low-light or complete darkness. This combination makes the C5L Custom an invaluable tool for self-defense, especially in high-stress situations where precision and speed are crucial.

The green laser on the Viridian C5L Custom is more effective than a red laser due to its superior visibility. Green lasers are known to be more visible to the human eye, especially in daylight conditions, which makes them more reliable for quick target acquisition. This advantage is crucial in situations where every second counts, such as in self-defense scenarios. The increased visibility helps users maintain accuracy and confidence, even in challenging environments.

INSTANT-ON technology enhances the functionality of the C5L Custom by providing immediate activation of the laser and light. This feature is activated the moment you draw your firearm from a compatible holster, ensuring that you have instant access to your laser sight and tactical light without the need for manual activation. This can be a critical advantage in self-defense situations where speed and readiness are essential. The automatic activation helps eliminate the risk of fumbling with controls under stress, allowing you to focus on the situation at hand.

The magnetic charging system of the Viridian C5L Custom offers several benefits, including convenience and reliability. This system allows you to recharge the unit without removing it from the firearm, ensuring that your laser sight and tactical light are always ready for use. The rechargeable lithium battery eliminates the need for constant battery replacements, reducing maintenance and operational costs. This feature is particularly advantageous for those who rely on their firearm regularly, such as law enforcement officers or individuals who carry for self-defense.

The Viridian C5L Custom is designed to perform reliably in adverse weather conditions, thanks to its IPX4 water resistance rating. This rating means the unit can withstand splashes of water from any direction, making it suitable for use in rain or humid environments. However, it is not fully waterproof, so it should not be submerged in water. The robust construction with machined 6061 aluminum and hard coat anodization also contributes to its durability, ensuring it can handle the rigors of outdoor use.

The Viridian C5L Custom's laser and light have impressive effective ranges, enhancing their utility in various scenarios. The green laser is visible up to 100 yards in daylight and can reach up to 2 miles at night, providing excellent versatility for both indoor and outdoor use. The tactical light, with its 550 lumens and 26,000 candela, offers substantial illumination, making it effective for target identification and navigation in dark environments. These ranges ensure that the C5L Custom is a valuable tool for both short-range and extended-range applications.

While the Viridian C5L Custom offers significant advantages for concealed carry, there are some tradeoffs to consider. The addition of a laser sight and tactical light can increase the overall size and weight of the firearm, which may affect comfort and concealability. However, the C5L Custom is specifically designed to maintain the sleek profile of the Kimber Micro CDS9, minimizing these impacts. Users should assess their personal comfort and the balance between enhanced functionality and concealability when deciding to integrate this accessory into their carry setup.

The construction of the Viridian C5L Custom plays a crucial role in its durability and longevity. Made from machined 6061 aluminum with a hard coat anodization, the unit is designed to withstand the demands of regular use. This robust material provides resistance to impacts and abrasions, ensuring that the laser sight and tactical light remain functional even in challenging conditions. The high-quality construction makes the C5L Custom a reliable choice for both professional and personal use.

The operating temperature range of the Viridian C5L Custom, from 14°F to 140°F, is significant for ensuring reliable performance in various environments. This range allows the unit to function effectively in both cold and hot conditions, making it suitable for use in diverse climates. Whether you're in a winter setting or a hot desert environment, the C5L Custom is designed to perform without degradation in functionality. This versatility is particularly important for users who may encounter extreme temperatures during their activities.

The strobing effect of the Viridian C5L Custom provides several tactical advantages for users. This feature can disorient potential threats, giving the user a strategic edge in self-defense situations. The rapid flashing of the light can temporarily impair an assailant's vision, allowing the user to gain control of the situation or create an opportunity to escape. In addition to its defensive benefits, the strobe function can also be used for signaling in emergency scenarios, adding another layer of utility to the C5L Custom.
