Description

Dual Illuminated with 9mm PCC Reticle, w/ Mount with Trijicon Q-LOC™ Technology

The Trijicon ACOG 1.5x16S Scope is a fixed magnification riflescope with an illuminated reticle pattern for use in any lighting conditions. Dual illumination provides two sources of battery-free illumination – fiber optics and tritium. The fiber optics use ambient light to automatically adjust the brightness level and contrast of the reticle to available light conditions. The tritium-phosphor lamp glows in low-light conditions. The ACOG body is designed to be extremely rugged and reliable. Wrapped in a smaller package, at 5.1 ounces (without mount), this ACOG is perfect for fast-moving tactical teams operating in close quarters or for speed-oriented competition venues. The forged 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy housing provides for a nearly indestructible sighting system. No other magnified optic has been used more in combat than the Trijicon ACOG. No tools are needed for windage and elevation adjustments because the ACOG features external adjusters. All adjuster caps are provided with a lanyard assembly to minimize the loss of caps. This model provides weapons like the M16/M4 with excellent fire control capability. Targets are easier and quicker to acquire through the 1.5x16 models because of the larger field of view (7.4 degrees) and eye-friendly design.

The Trijicon Compact ACOG Mount w/ Q-LOC™ Technology features a Mil-Spec drop test rated 6061-T6 aluminum design, with an easy to use one handed tool less mounting system. The spring-loaded design allows for constant retention and maintaining of zero even if the knobs are not tightened.

The mount boasts a low weight and low profile design with superior return to zero performance and is compatible with any Mil-Spec or NATO Picatinny rail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Trijicon 1.5x16S Compact ACOG Scope suitable for 9mm PCC?

The Trijicon 1.5x16S Compact ACOG Scope is specifically designed for 9mm PCCs with its RTR™ 9mm PCC reticle. This reticle is optimized for 9mm 115gr. FMJ ammunition and a 16-inch barrel, providing bullet drop compensation (BDC) holds out to 300 yards. The illuminated center dot and horseshoe shroud enable quick target acquisition, making it ideal for both tactical scenarios and competitive shooting.

How does the dual illumination system work in this ACOG scope?

The dual illumination system in the Trijicon ACOG uses both fiber optics and tritium to provide a battery-free reticle illumination. Fiber optics adjust the reticle brightness based on ambient light, while the tritium-phosphor lamp illuminates the reticle in low-light conditions. This ensures visibility in various lighting environments without relying on batteries, which is crucial for long-term reliability in field conditions.

What are the benefits of the Trijicon Q-LOC™ Technology mount?

The Trijicon Q-LOC™ Technology mount offers a secure, tool-less mounting solution for the ACOG scope. Its spring-loaded design ensures constant retention and maintains zero even if the knobs aren't fully tightened. This design is particularly beneficial for quick transitions and adjustments in dynamic environments, ensuring the scope remains securely attached to any Mil-Spec or NATO Picatinny rail.

How does the Bindon Aiming Concept™ enhance shooting with the ACOG scope?

The Bindon Aiming Concept™ (BAC) allows for 'both eyes open' shooting, enhancing situational awareness. This technique leverages binocular vision to superimpose the illuminated reticle on the target, providing a faster response time and greater field of view. This is particularly useful in tactical situations where rapid target acquisition is essential.

What makes the Trijicon ACOG scope combat-proven?

The Trijicon ACOG scope is renowned for its durability and reliability in combat situations.
