NITE IZE - Steelie Windshield Kit Plus

The NITE IZE Steelie Windshield Kit Plus uses a suction cup mechanism to attach securely to your windshield. This design allows for a strong hold that can withstand the vibrations and movements of a moving vehicle. The suction cup is easy to install and remove, making it a convenient option for those who need to frequently reposition their device or switch vehicles. However, it's important to ensure the windshield surface is clean and dry before installation to maintain the best adhesion.

The Steelie Windshield Kit Plus is designed to provide a secure and easily adjustable platform for your mobile device. Its magnetic mounting system allows you to position your phone at the perfect angle for visibility without obstructing your view of the road. This feature is particularly beneficial for hands-free navigation, as it keeps your device stable and accessible, reducing distractions while driving. The ease of adjustment means you can quickly switch between portrait and landscape modes, depending on your navigation needs.

Yes, the Steelie Windshield Kit Plus is designed with universal compatibility in mind. The kit includes a magnetic attachment that can be affixed to any mobile device or case, making it versatile for use with a wide range of smartphones and GPS units. This adaptability ensures that you can continue to use the Steelie system even if you upgrade your device. However, it's worth noting that the magnetic attachment may interfere with wireless charging capabilities, so it should be removed when using such features.

The installation process for the Steelie Windshield Kit Plus is straightforward and user-friendly. The kit comes with a detailed instruction manual that guides you through attaching the suction cup to the windshield and securing the magnetic mount to your device. Most users find that the entire setup can be completed in just a few minutes without the need for any tools. This ease of installation makes it an attractive option for those who frequently change vehicles or need to remove the mount for storage.

While the Steelie Windshield Kit Plus is designed for durability, extreme temperatures can affect its performance. High heat can weaken the suction cup's grip, while extremely cold conditions might make the materials more brittle. To ensure optimal performance, it's advisable to check the mount regularly and re-secure it if necessary, especially after exposure to harsh temperatures. For best results, avoid leaving the mount in direct sunlight for extended periods.

Using the Steelie Windshield Kit Plus enhances safety by keeping your mobile device secure and within easy reach. This reduces the temptation to hold your phone while driving, which can be a significant distraction. By positioning your device at eye level, you can glance at navigation apps without taking your eyes off the road for long periods. This setup promotes a safer driving environment by minimizing distractions and allowing you to focus more on driving.

The Steelie Windshield Kit Plus features a magnetic mounting system that provides a strong and reliable hold. The system consists of a magnetic socket that attaches to your device and a ball mount that connects to the windshield. This setup allows for smooth rotation and easy repositioning of your device with one hand. The magnetic connection is strong enough to keep your device stable during normal driving conditions, yet it allows for quick detachment when needed.

When using the Steelie Windshield Kit Plus in different vehicles, consider the shape and angle of the windshield. Some vehicles have steeper windshields, which might affect the viewing angle of your device. It's important to test the placement in each vehicle to ensure that the device is visible and does not obstruct your view of the road. Additionally, make sure that the suction cup is securely attached in each vehicle to prevent the mount from detaching during use.

The Steelie Windshield Kit Plus is designed to minimize interference with your phone's functions. However, the magnetic attachment can affect wireless charging capabilities, so it's recommended to remove the magnetic piece when charging wirelessly. Additionally, the mount does not block access to buttons or ports, allowing you to use your phone's features without obstruction. Always ensure that the magnetic attachment is properly aligned to avoid any disruption to your device's operations.

Using a magnetic mount like the Steelie Windshield Kit Plus offers convenience and ease of use, but there are trade-offs to consider. The primary advantage is the quick and easy attachment and detachment of your device. However, the magnetic system may interfere with wireless charging and could potentially demagnetize credit cards if placed too close. Additionally, while the magnetic hold is strong, it may not be suitable for extremely rough terrain or high-impact activities. Users should weigh these factors based on their specific needs and driving conditions.
