Description

The Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module is a premium upgrade for the P365 XMacro, designed to enhance ergonomics and shooting performance. This grip module features a robust construction with a billet 7075-T6 Aluminum frame, finished in OD Green Cerakote, and complemented by black aluminum grip panels. It offers a significant improvement over the standard polymer grip modules with its enhanced trigger-guard geometry and undercut finger grooves for superior comfort and control.

The Gen 3 model introduces several key advancements, including more aggressive grip panel texturing and a redesigned steel lug system. The grip module is 1.3 inches wide, providing a more substantial feel without sacrificing concealability. Ambidextrous thumb ledges offer a natural indexing point for both hands, licensed under U.S. Patent No. 9,194,649. Additionally, the module includes a flared magazine well and an M1913 Picatinny accessory rail for added versatility.

This grip module is a direct replacement for the Sig Sauer OEM standard polymer P365 X Macro grip module and is compatible with any model P365 XL or X Macro slide. Please note that the Fire Control Unit and magazine release assembly are not included, and the module will not work with the Manual Safety FCU. Due to the integrated thumb ledges, most existing Kydex holsters may require minor heat reforming for a proper fit.

What are the compatibility considerations for the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module?

The Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module is designed to be a direct replacement for the Sig Sauer OEM standard polymer P365 X Macro grip module. It is compatible with any model P365 XL or X Macro slide. However, it is important to note that the Fire Control Unit and magazine release assembly are not included, and the module will not work with the Manual Safety FCU. Additionally, due to the integrated thumb ledges, most existing Kydex holsters may require minor heat reforming for a proper fit.

How does the redesigned steel lug system enhance the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module?

The redesigned steel lug system in the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module enhances its structural integrity and reliability. Made from heat-treated 4140 steel, this system provides a robust connection between the grip module and the firearm, ensuring consistent performance even under heavy use. This improvement is particularly beneficial for those who engage in frequent shooting sessions or tactical training.

What are the ergonomic benefits of the ambidextrous thumb ledges on the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module?

The ambidextrous thumb ledges on the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module offer significant ergonomic benefits. These ledges provide natural indexing points for both hands, improving grip stability and control. This feature is particularly advantageous for shooters who use both hands interchangeably or for left-handed users who often face challenges with standard grip designs. The thumb ledges enhance comfort and ensure a consistent hand position during shooting.

How does the flared magazine well improve reloading with the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module?

The flared magazine well on the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module is designed to facilitate faster and more efficient magazine changes. What are the trade-offs of using a billet aluminum grip module compared to polymer?

Choosing a billet aluminum grip module like the Sharps Bros Gen 3 over a polymer one involves certain trade-offs. Aluminum offers superior durability and a more substantial feel, which can enhance shooting performance and longevity. What should users consider when selecting a holster for the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module?

When selecting a holster for the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module, users should consider the impact of the integrated thumb ledges. These ledges may require minor heat reforming of most existing Kydex holsters to ensure a proper fit. It's important to choose a holster that accommodates the grip module's unique design while providing secure retention and easy accessibility. Testing the fit and function with your specific setup is recommended before relying on it in critical situations.

How does the width of the Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module affect concealability?

The Sharps Bros Gen 3 Grip Module is 1.3 inches wide, which provides a more substantial feel without sacrificing concealability. This width offers a balance between a comfortable grip and the ability to conceal the firearm effectively. While it may be slightly bulkier than some polymer options, the ergonomic benefits and enhanced control can outweigh the minor increase in size for many users. Proper holster selection and clothing choices can further mitigate any concealment concerns.
