Description

The Mission First Tactical Minimalist Holster is designed to offer a low-profile yet highly effective solution for concealed carry enthusiasts. Specifically crafted for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus, Shield 1.0, and 2.0, this holster provides the performance and reliability of a full-size holster while maintaining a minimalistic design. It is suitable for Inside the Waistband (IWB) carry in both the Appendix and 5:00 positions. The holster is ambidextrous, allowing for both right and left-hand positioning with the removal of the claw and use of the provided spacer.

One of the standout features of this holster is the claw, which is designed for right-handed shooters to keep the heel of the firearm pressed into your side, minimizing printing. The holster also features an audible click with added side retention, ensuring a smooth and secure draw, making it ideal for concealed carry. Each holster is handmade to precise tolerances using advanced techniques and materials for all-day comfort.

The holster includes a tuckable belt clip that accommodates belts from 1 to 1 ½ inches. Alternatively, the clip and claw can be removed, and a static-line tether can be added to keep the trigger secure when the firearm is stored in a nightstand safe, purse, briefcase, or vehicle console. Please note, for safety reasons, the holster must be removed from the belt for reholstering.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the claw feature of the Mission First Tactical Minimalist Holster reduce printing?

The claw feature is specifically designed to minimize printing by pressing the heel of the firearm into your side. This is particularly beneficial for right-handed shooters, as it helps keep the gun close to the body, reducing the outline of the firearm through clothing. By doing so, the claw enhances concealment and makes it more difficult for others to notice that you are carrying. This feature is especially useful in urban environments where discretion is crucial.

What makes the Mission First Tactical Minimalist Holster suitable for both appendix and 5:00 positions?

The holster's design allows for versatile positioning, making it suitable for both appendix and 5:00 carry positions. Its minimalist profile ensures comfort and ease of access in both positions, catering to personal preference and body type. The adjustable cant feature, which ranges from 0 to 20 degrees, allows users to customize the draw angle for optimal ergonomics and quick access. This adaptability is crucial for those who may need to adjust their carry position based on different scenarios or clothing choices.

How does the ambidextrous feature of the holster work?

The ambidextrous design of the Mission First Tactical Minimalist Holster allows it to be used by both right and left-handed shooters. By removing the claw and using the provided spacer, users can easily switch the holster's orientation. This flexibility is ideal for those who may switch shooting hands or for left-handed users who often find limited options in holster designs. Such versatility ensures that the holster can adapt to different users' needs without compromising on performance or comfort.

What materials are used in the construction of the Mission First Tactical Minimalist Holster?

The holster is constructed from .08 Boltaron, a durable material known for its resilience and longevity. Boltaron is similar to Kydex but offers enhanced impact resistance and temperature stability. This makes it an excellent choice for a holster that needs to withstand daily wear and tear while maintaining its shape and functionality. The handcrafted nature of the holster, including molding, trimming, assembling, and buffing, ensures high quality and attention to detail, providing users with a reliable and long-lasting product.

Why is it recommended to remove the holster from the belt for reholstering?

For safety reasons, it is recommended to remove the holster from the belt when reholstering the firearm. This practice reduces the risk of accidental discharge by ensuring that the firearm is securely and properly placed back into the holster without obstruction. It also allows the user to visually confirm that the trigger is not being inadvertently engaged during the process. This step is crucial for maintaining safety, especially in high-stress situations or when operating in confined spaces.

How does the audible passive retention feature enhance the holster's performance?

The audible passive retention feature provides a clear click sound when the firearm is securely holstered. This audible feedback assures the user that the firearm is properly seated, reducing the chance of accidental dislodging. It enhances the user's confidence in the holster's security, especially during active movement or when drawing and reholstering in dynamic situations. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who need to ensure their firearm remains secure without constant visual checks.

Can the Mission First Tactical Minimalist Holster be used with different belt sizes?

Yes, the holster includes a tuckable belt clip that fits belts ranging from 1 to 1 ½ inches. This adjustability ensures compatibility with a variety of belt sizes, allowing users to maintain a secure and comfortable fit. The tuckable feature also allows for deeper concealment, as the clip can be adjusted to accommodate different clothing styles. This versatility is ideal for users who may switch between casual and formal attire, ensuring the holster remains discreet and functional.

What are the benefits of using a static-line tether with this holster?

Using a static-line tether with the holster provides an additional layer of security when the firearm is stored outside the waistband. This feature is particularly useful when storing the firearm in a nightstand safe, purse, briefcase, or vehicle console. The tether keeps the trigger area secure, preventing accidental discharge while the firearm is not in active use. This added security measure is crucial for those who need to ensure safety in environments where the firearm might be accessed by others or where additional protection against accidental handling is needed.

How does the adjustable cant feature affect the draw of the firearm?

The adjustable cant feature allows users to set the draw angle from 0 to 20 degrees. This customization enables users to tailor the holster's position for optimal comfort and accessibility, depending on their body type and carry preference. By adjusting the cant, users can ensure a smoother and quicker draw, which is essential in self-defense scenarios where speed and efficiency are critical. This feature also helps in reducing strain on the wrist and arm, making it more comfortable for extended wear.

What considerations should be taken when using the holster for concealed carry in different environments?

When using the holster for concealed carry, it's important to consider the environment and clothing. In urban settings, discretion is key, so the holster's minimalistic design and claw feature are advantageous. In more rural or outdoor environments, comfort and accessibility might take precedence, making the adjustable cant and ambidextrous features valuable. Users should also consider the potential need for quick access and ensure that their clothing allows for an unobstructed draw. Balancing these factors will help ensure effective and safe concealed carry across various scenarios.
