The SMC Plate Carrier by Grey Ghost Gear is designed to be a versatile, “one size fits most” solution, thanks to its adjustable shoulder straps and cummerbund, ensuring a secure fit for various body types. Featuring the innovative ROC buckles on one shoulder strap (reversible) and on either side of the cummerbund, this carrier allows for rapid release in case of emergency—whether you’re on fire, trapped, or suddenly taking a swim. The ROC buckles also make donning the carrier quick and easy when time is of the essence.

The key feature of the SMC lies in its back panel. Equipped with YKK zippers and webbing, the SMC is compatible with the entire line of SMC zippered back panels, allowing you to customize your carrier for any mission. These back panels are also compatible with SOCOM issued carriers that use zippered back panel systems.

Breathable mesh is incorporated into the cummerbund and inner faces of the carrier body for enhanced comfort. Interior padding, enclosed in tweave fabric, provides additional comfort and air channels to wick away moisture. The SMC carrier includes six rows of MOLLE/PALS style webbing, with built-in matching loop material on the top three rows for attaching patches or ID panels.

Constructed from laser-cut laminate nylon, this carrier offers all the modularity of traditional MOLLE webbing with a significant reduction in weight. The laminate is strong, water, and chemical-resistant, and its laser-sealed edges prevent fraying, enhancing the carrier's durability over time.
