Description

The Geissele Super Charging Handle (SCH®) 5.56 is a duty-grade, ambidextrous charging handle built for hard-use rifles. Precision 3D-machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum, the SCH is engineered for strength, smooth operation, and reliability in demanding conditions.

The ambidextrous design allows seamless operation from either side of the rifle, making it ideal for both right- and left-handed shooters. The dual-contoured levers are modeled after the M14 charging handle, featuring radius cuts on both the X and Y axes for a natural, ergonomic pull.

A checkered handling surface provides positive grip when operating with gloves, while the heightened rear lip helps mitigate gas blowback to the shooter—especially important on short-barreled and suppressed rifle setups.

Each SCH is finished with a Type III hardcoat anodizing and is available in Black or DDC (Desert Dirt Color), offering durability and corrosion resistance for duty, training, or defensive carbines.

What makes the Geissele Super Charging Handle suitable for ambidextrous use?

The Geissele Super Charging Handle is designed for ambidextrous use with dual-contoured levers. This feature allows seamless operation from either side of the rifle, accommodating both right- and left-handed shooters. The ergonomic design, inspired by the M14 charging handle, ensures a natural and efficient pull, making it ideal for tactical situations where quick and reliable access is crucial.

How does the Geissele SCH handle gas blowback on suppressed rifles?

The Geissele SCH features a raised rear lip to help mitigate gas blowback. This is particularly beneficial for short-barreled or suppressed rifle setups where gas blowback can be more pronounced. By redirecting the gas away from the shooter, it enhances comfort and safety during operation, especially in high-pressure scenarios.

What materials are used in the construction of the Geissele Super Charging Handle?

The Geissele Super Charging Handle is crafted from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum. This material is known for its exceptional strength and durability, making it suitable for hard-use rifles. Why is the checkered gripping surface important for the Geissele SCH?

The checkered gripping surface on the Geissele SCH provides a positive grip. This feature is especially useful when operating the rifle with gloves or in wet conditions. It ensures the user can maintain control and effectively manipulate the charging handle without slippage, which is critical in tactical and emergency scenarios.

How does the Type III hardcoat anodizing benefit the Geissele SCH?

The Type III hardcoat anodizing provides enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. This finish is essential for maintaining the integrity of the charging handle in harsh environments. Whether used in training, duty, or defensive situations, the anodizing helps protect the handle from wear and environmental damage.

In what scenarios is the Geissele SCH particularly advantageous?

The Geissele SCH is advantageous in scenarios requiring reliable and quick rifle manipulation. Its ambidextrous design and ergonomic features make it ideal for tactical operations, law enforcement, and defensive situations. The ability to operate smoothly under stress is crucial for maintaining readiness and effectiveness.

What are the color options available for the Geissele Super Charging Handle?
