The Daniel Defense RIS III Rail Interface System (12.5”) is a modern evolution of the combat-proven RIS II platform, trusted by U.S. SOCOM since 2006. Designed to reduce weight while increasing modularity, the RIS III combines a rigid free-float design with M-LOK compatibility—making it ideal for duty rifles, defensive carbines, and serious preparedness builds.

Constructed from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, the RIS III delivers exceptional strength without unnecessary bulk. The uninterrupted Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny top rail ensures rock-solid mounting for optics, iron sights, and night-vision devices, while seven M-LOK attachment positions provide flexibility for lights, grips, and mission-essential accessories.

Daniel Defense’s proven 6-bolt bolt-up system—paired with Grade 8 military-spec fasteners—locks the handguard securely to the upper receiver, maintaining zero and reliability under hard use. Integrated QD sling swivel attachment points on both sides allow rapid sling setup for patrol, training, or emergency scenarios.

Note: M203 hangers will interfere with pinned and welded muzzle devices. Daniel Defense recommends installation by a qualified gunsmith when using pinned and welded barrels.
