The Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II Rail Interface System in Black was developed at the request of U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD II program. Designed to meet specific operational needs, this advanced handguard allows the operator to free-float an M203 grenade launcher without additional parts or special tools. All necessary components are built into the rail system, offering unmatched utility and mission adaptability.

This two-piece free-float design is made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum and utilizes Daniel Defense’s patented 6-bolt Bolt-Up System, ensuring rock-solid attachment to the upper receiver. Finished in a Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodized black finish, the MK18 RIS II provides both performance and durability for military and civilian use alike.
