Description

The Daniel Defense adjustable buttstock is constructed of a proprietary blend of glass-infused polymers and finished with soft-touch rubber overmolding in strategic areas. This new buttstock is precision-formed for mil-spec receiver extensions, minimizing the forward or lateral play common in many other buttstocks. This design eliminates the need for a tensioning device or friction lock, resulting in a durable buttstock that offers a comfortable and repeatable cheek weld, providing the shooter with unprecedented control of the firearm.

The buttstock can be used with one of two included buttpads or without any buttpad to custom-fit the rifle to the operator's gear. The buttpads come in two sizes: a thicker convex shape (0.8") and a thinner concave shape (0.5"), both designed to prevent snagging when shouldering the rifle. Limited rotation QD swivel attachment points are integrated on both sides of the buttstock for ambidextrous sling connection.

How does the buttstock's design enhance firearm control and comfort?

The design of the Daniel Defense buttstock enhances control and comfort through its precision-formed construction for mil-spec receiver extensions. The soft-touch rubber overmolding provides a comfortable cheek weld, which is crucial for maintaining consistent aim. The included buttpads, available in two sizes, allow customization to fit the operator's gear and prevent snagging. This feature is particularly useful in dynamic shooting environments where quick shoulder transitions are necessary.

What are the benefits of the ambidextrous QD swivel attachment points?

The ambidextrous QD swivel attachment points on the buttstock provide versatile sling attachment options for both left- and right-handed users. This feature enhances the adaptability of the firearm in various tactical situations, allowing for quick transitions and secure weapon retention. This is particularly advantageous in environments where mobility and readiness are critical, such as urban combat or rapid deployment scenarios.

Can the buttstock be used without a buttpad, and what are the implications?

Yes, the Daniel Defense buttstock can be used without a buttpad, allowing users to further customize the length of pull to suit their specific needs. This level of customization can be particularly useful for operators wearing body armor or other gear that might affect how the rifle is shouldered.
