Cloud Defensive – EPL Duty Enhanced Pistol Light, Black

The Cloud Defensive EPL Duty Enhanced Pistol Light is engineered to deliver exceptional performance in diverse scenarios, making it ideal for military, law enforcement, and civilian use. With a high lumen output of 1,200 and an impressive 52,000 candela, it provides the necessary illumination for target identification and situational awareness. The light's construction from 6061-T6 aluminum with Type III hard-coat anodizing ensures durability, while its IPX-7 waterproof rating allows it to withstand harsh conditions. These features collectively make it a versatile tool for various operational environments.

The EPL Duty's optimized beam profile is designed to provide both a wide spill and a focused hot spot. This dual capability ensures that users can illuminate an entire room while also focusing on specific targets. The light's ability to cut through photonic barriers such as smoke and window tint is crucial in tactical situations where visibility is compromised. This balance between spill and focus is essential for maintaining situational awareness and effective target identification.

The forward-push activation system of the EPL Duty is designed for ergonomic and intuitive use. This system allows users to activate the light without altering their shooting grip, which is critical in high-stress situations. The ambidextrous toggles support both thumbs-forward and trigger-finger activation, catering to different shooting styles and preferences. This feature enhances the light's usability, ensuring that it can be operated efficiently by a wide range of users.

Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodizing, the EPL Duty is built to endure rigorous use. The impact-resistant lens, shared with Cloud Defensive’s MCH handheld lights, adds to its durability, ensuring it can withstand impacts without compromising optical performance. Additionally, the black nitride-coated hardware offers excellent corrosion resistance, making the light reliable in various environmental conditions.

The EPL Duty is powered by a protected button-top 18350-C rechargeable battery, providing a 40-minute runtime. The light allows for front-access battery replacement, so users can change batteries without removing the light from the pistol, minimizing downtime. This feature is particularly useful in prolonged operations where quick battery swaps are necessary. The included USB-C charging cable facilitates convenient recharging, ensuring the light is always ready for use.

The EPL Duty is designed for seamless integration with a variety of duty holsters, enhancing its versatility. It is compatible with popular holster models such as the Safariland® 6000 & 7000 series, LAS Concealment®, Alien Gear®, and Blade-Tech®. This compatibility ensures that users can incorporate the light into their existing setups without needing to purchase new holsters. Its design allows it to fit most X300 and TLR-1 style light-bearing holsters, providing flexibility across different platforms.

The EPL Duty includes both short and extended toggles, allowing users to customize the light's activation to their preference. This customization is beneficial for users with different hand sizes or shooting styles, ensuring comfortable and efficient operation. By providing options for toggle length, the EPL Duty accommodates a broader range of users, enhancing its adaptability in various tactical scenarios.

The IPX-7 waterproof rating of the EPL Duty ensures that it can operate effectively in wet conditions. This rating means the light can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, making it suitable for use in rain or accidental submersion. This feature is particularly valuable for users who operate in environments where water exposure is a risk, ensuring the light remains functional regardless of the weather.

The EPL Duty uses lithium battery components, which require careful handling due to potential safety risks. According to California's Proposition 65, these components can pose cancer or reproductive harm risks. Users should follow all safety guidelines for handling and charging lithium batteries, including using the provided USB-C cable and avoiding exposure to extreme temperatures. For more information, users can refer to the official Proposition 65 website.

The EPL Duty's design is tailored for high-stress tactical environments, emphasizing ease of use and reliability. Its ergonomic forward-push activation system allows for quick light activation without altering the shooting grip, which is crucial in fast-paced situations. The robust construction and IPX-7 waterproof rating ensure that the light can withstand the physical and environmental challenges often encountered in tactical operations, providing consistent performance when it is needed most.
