Description

The Burris XTR Signature Rings are engineered for the tactical shooter, offering substantial holding power with reduced weight. These rings feature unique, self-centering, dual steel clamps with a full cross-through connection, ensuring proper alignment on any width Picatinny rail while enhancing strength. The revolutionary Pos-Align Inserts technology guarantees perfect centering and maximum scope-to-ring contact, providing tremendous gripping power without damaging the scope finish.

With the ability to virtually sight in your firearm without adjusting the scope, these rings correct misalignment caused by off-center receiver holes and bases or rings being slightly off-center. There's no need for expensive tapered bases or shimming for long-distance shooting. Constructed from rugged, robust aluminum, these tactical rings are lightweight and compatible with any Picatinny and most Weaver style rails.

Each ring set includes one set of the +/- 0 MOA concentric, one set each of the +/-5 MOA and +/-10 MOA, and two sets of the +/-20 MOA. This allows for adjustments of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or 40 MOA of cant in the scope mount, making it incredibly versatile for various shooting scenarios.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do the Burris XTR Signature Rings ensure proper alignment on Picatinny rails?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings feature unique, self-centering, dual steel clamps with a full cross-through connection. This design ensures proper alignment on any width Picatinny rail, enhancing the strength and stability of the setup. The self-centering mechanism helps in achieving a consistent and secure fit, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy in tactical shooting scenarios. By ensuring alignment, these rings reduce the potential for scope misalignment due to rail inconsistencies.

What is the purpose of the Pos-Align Inserts in the Burris XTR Signature Rings?

The Pos-Align Inserts in the Burris XTR Signature Rings are designed to guarantee perfect centering and maximum scope-to-ring contact. These inserts provide tremendous gripping power without damaging the scope finish, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of your optics. By correcting misalignment caused by off-center receiver holes or bases, the inserts eliminate the need for expensive tapered bases or shimming, allowing for more straightforward adjustments and enhanced precision in long-distance shooting.

How do the Burris XTR Signature Rings accommodate different shooting scenarios?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings include multiple sets of Pos-Align Inserts, allowing for adjustments of up to 40 MOA of cant in the scope mount. This versatility makes them suitable for various shooting scenarios, from short-range engagements to long-distance precision shooting. By offering adjustments in increments of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or 40 MOA, shooters can tailor their setup to match specific ballistic requirements without needing additional hardware. This adaptability is particularly beneficial in tactical environments where quick changes in distance or target elevation are necessary.

What materials are used in the construction of the Burris XTR Signature Rings?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings are constructed from rugged, robust aluminum. This choice of material provides a balance between strength and weight, making the rings durable yet lightweight. Aluminum is resistant to corrosion and wear, ensuring that the rings can withstand harsh environmental conditions and maintain their integrity over time. This durability is vital for tactical shooters who require reliable performance in various field conditions.

Can the Burris XTR Signature Rings be used on Weaver style rails?

Yes, the Burris XTR Signature Rings are compatible with most Weaver style rails in addition to Picatinny rails. This compatibility expands their usability across a wider range of firearms, making them a versatile choice for shooters with different setups. However, it's important to ensure that the specific Weaver rail matches the dimensions and specifications required for a secure fit, as variations in rail design can affect compatibility.

How do the Burris XTR Signature Rings help in sighting in without adjusting the scope?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings allow shooters to virtually sight in their firearm without adjusting the scope itself. This is achieved through the use of Pos-Align Inserts, which correct misalignment and provide the necessary cant adjustments. By addressing alignment issues at the ring level, shooters can maintain their scope's zero and avoid the need for frequent recalibrations, which is particularly beneficial in tactical situations where time and precision are critical.

What are the torque specifications for the Burris XTR Signature Rings?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings have specific torque specifications to ensure optimal performance. The ring cross bolts should be torqued to 45 inch-lbs, while the top ring should be torqued to 20 inch-lbs. Adhering to these specifications is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the mount and ensuring consistent performance. Over-tightening can damage the rings or scope, while under-tightening may lead to slippage and loss of zero.

What makes the Burris XTR Signature Rings suitable for tactical shooters?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings are engineered specifically for tactical shooters, offering substantial holding power with reduced weight. Their design includes self-centering clamps and Pos-Align Inserts, which ensure perfect alignment and maximum contact. This is critical in tactical scenarios where reliability and precision are paramount. The rings' ability to adjust for cant and align without damaging the scope further enhances their suitability for tactical applications, where quick adjustments and durability are essential.

How do the Burris XTR Signature Rings compare to traditional scope rings?

Compared to traditional scope rings, the Burris XTR Signature Rings offer enhanced alignment and adjustment capabilities. Traditional rings often require shimming or tapered bases to achieve the desired cant, whereas the XTR Signature Rings provide built-in adjustments up to 40 MOA. This eliminates the need for additional components and simplifies the setup process. Additionally, the use of Pos-Align Inserts ensures that the scope is not damaged during mounting, a common issue with traditional rings that rely on direct metal-to-metal contact.

What are the benefits of using aluminum in the construction of the Burris XTR Signature Rings?

Aluminum is used in the construction of the Burris XTR Signature Rings due to its lightweight and durable properties. This material choice ensures that the rings are robust enough to withstand the rigors of tactical use while minimizing additional weight on the firearm. Aluminum is also resistant to corrosion, making it suitable for use in various environmental conditions. These characteristics make aluminum an ideal material for tactical applications where both performance and durability are required.
