The Burris XTR Signature Rings are designed specifically for tactical shooters who require reliability and precision. These rings feature dual steel clamps that ensure a secure fit on any width Picatinny rail, providing substantial holding power while maintaining a lightweight profile. The Pos-Align Inserts technology allows for perfect centering and maximum scope-to-ring contact, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy under high-stress conditions. This design minimizes the risk of damaging the scope finish, making these rings an excellent choice for tactical applications where durability and precision are paramount.

How do the Pos-Align Inserts in the Burris XTR Signature Rings work?

The Pos-Align Inserts in the Burris XTR Signature Rings provide a unique solution to scope alignment issues. These inserts allow for perfect centering and maximum contact between the scope and the rings, which is essential for maintaining accuracy. By using these inserts, shooters can correct misalignments caused by off-center receiver holes without the need for additional tapered bases or shimming. This feature is particularly beneficial for long-range shooting, where precision alignment is critical to hitting targets at extended distances.

What is the advantage of having multiple MOA adjustments with these rings?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings offer versatile MOA adjustments, which is a significant advantage for shooters. With the included inserts, you can achieve various MOA cants ranging from 0 to 40 MOA. This flexibility allows shooters to adjust their scope for different shooting scenarios, such as compensating for bullet drop in long-range shooting. By having the ability to make these adjustments without modifying the scope itself, users can maintain the integrity of their optics while achieving the necessary trajectory corrections.

Are the Burris XTR Signature Rings compatible with all types of rails?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings are designed to fit Picatinny and most Weaver style rails. This compatibility ensures that the rings can be used with a wide range of firearms, providing versatility for shooters who own multiple weapons. However, it is important to verify the rail type on your specific firearm to ensure a proper fit. The self-centering clamps help in achieving a secure fit across different rail widths, enhancing the stability and accuracy of your shooting setup.

How do these rings help in avoiding damage to the scope finish?

The Burris XTR Signature Rings are engineered to protect the scope finish while providing a secure hold. The Pos-Align Inserts ensure that the scope is perfectly centered and that the contact between the scope and rings is maximized without excessive pressure. This design minimizes the risk of marring or scratching the scope’s surface, which is a common concern when using traditional rings. By distributing the pressure evenly, these rings maintain the finish of high-quality optics, extending their lifespan and preserving their aesthetic appeal.

For long-range shooting, the Burris XTR Signature Rings offer critical advantages in terms of scope alignment and trajectory adjustment. The ability to adjust the MOA cant allows shooters to compensate for bullet drop over long distances without altering the scope's internal settings. This feature is particularly useful for precision shooters who need to maintain a consistent zero while adapting to different shooting conditions. By using the Pos-Align Inserts, shooters can ensure that their optics remain perfectly aligned, which is essential for maintaining accuracy at extended ranges.

What is the torque specification for mounting the Burris XTR Signature Rings?

Proper torque specifications are crucial for mounting the Burris XTR Signature Rings securely. The top ring torque is specified at 20 inch-lbs, while the ring cross bolts require 45 inch-lbs.
