Description

The Nightstick TSM-13G is a subcompact tactical weapon-mounted light designed specifically for Sig Sauer P365 pistols, including the X, XL, and SAS models. This light features a super-bright LED rated at 150 lumens, working in conjunction with a precision-engineered miniature reflector to produce a bright white beam that reaches up to 104 meters. The TSM-13G offers multiple lighting modes, including white light, a Class IIIa 532nm daylight-visible green laser, or a combination of both.

Designed for secure installation, the TSM-13G is constructed with two glass-filled nylon plastic housings that lock onto the front of the pistol's trigger guard, maintaining a low profile. The ambidextrous low-profile switches on each side allow for easy operation of the momentary-on and constant-on lighting modes. This weapon light also includes a Nightstick MagMate™ USB magnetically coupled charger, a trigger lock for secure charging, and an Allen screwdriver for installation and laser aim adjustments.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Nightstick TSM-13G attach to the Sig Sauer P365?

The Nightstick TSM-13G is designed to attach securely to the Sig Sauer P365 by locking onto the front of the pistol's trigger guard. This is achieved through its two glass-filled nylon plastic housings, which provide a stable and low-profile fit. The installation process is straightforward, requiring the use of the included Allen screwdriver to ensure a snug and secure fit. This design ensures that the light remains firmly in place during use, providing reliable illumination and laser targeting when needed.

What are the lighting modes available on the Nightstick TSM-13G?

The Nightstick TSM-13G offers multiple lighting modes to suit various tactical scenarios. Users can choose between a bright white light, a green laser, or a combination of both. The white light mode provides a 150-lumen output, ideal for illuminating dark environments. The green laser, rated as Class IIIa 532nm, is daylight-visible, making it effective for target acquisition in various lighting conditions. These modes can be easily toggled using the ambidextrous low-profile switches, allowing for quick adjustments in high-pressure situations.

How does the magnetic charging system work for the Nightstick TSM-13G?

The Nightstick TSM-13G features a Nightstick MagMate™ USB magnetically coupled charger that simplifies the recharging process. This system allows the charger to magnetically attach to the light, ensuring a secure connection without the need for physical plugs. This design not only reduces wear and tear on charging ports but also allows for convenient charging without removing the light from the firearm. The magnetic charger is particularly beneficial in maintaining readiness, as it can be quickly attached and detached as needed.

Is the Nightstick TSM-13G suitable for concealed carry with the Sig Sauer P365?

The Nightstick TSM-13G is designed with a low-profile construction that makes it suitable for concealed carry. Its compact size and secure attachment to the Sig Sauer P365 ensure that it does not significantly increase the firearm's bulk, which is crucial for maintaining concealability. However, users should ensure that their holster accommodates the additional dimensions of the light and laser to ensure a proper fit and safe draw.

How does the green laser on the TSM-13G enhance target acquisition?

The green laser on the TSM-13G is a Class IIIa 532nm laser, which is highly visible in daylight conditions. This visibility is advantageous for quick target acquisition, as the human eye is more sensitive to green wavelengths, making the laser dot easier to see compared to red lasers. This feature is particularly useful in situations where rapid and accurate aiming is necessary, such as in self-defense scenarios. The laser can be adjusted for windage and elevation using the included Allen screwdriver, ensuring precision alignment with the firearm's point of impact.

What are the tradeoffs of using a weapon-mounted light like the TSM-13G?

While a weapon-mounted light like the TSM-13G offers significant tactical advantages, there are tradeoffs to consider. The primary benefit is the ability to illuminate targets and environments without occupying a hand, which is crucial in defensive situations. However, the added weight and bulk can affect the balance and handling of the firearm. Additionally, users must be mindful of battery life and ensure the light is charged and ready for use. It's also important to practice using the light in various scenarios to become proficient in its operation under stress.

How does the ambidextrous switch design benefit users of the TSM-13G?

The ambidextrous switch design of the TSM-13G provides significant usability benefits for both left- and right-handed users. The low-profile switches are located on both sides of the light, allowing for easy activation of the light and laser regardless of the user's dominant hand. This feature is particularly valuable in tactical situations where quick access and operation are critical. The design ensures that users can maintain their grip on the firearm while adjusting the lighting mode, enhancing overall control and responsiveness.

Can the Nightstick TSM-13G be exported outside the U.S.?

The export of the Nightstick TSM-13G is restricted by the U.S. Department of Commerce. It is classified as a controlled commodity under ECCN 0A504.f, which means it is subject to U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This classification restricts the export and reexport of the product without proper authorization. Individuals and businesses looking to export this item must ensure compliance with these regulations to avoid legal issues.

What accessories are included with the Nightstick TSM-13G?

The Nightstick TSM-13G comes with several accessories to facilitate installation and operation. Included with the light are a Nightstick MagMate™ USB magnetically coupled charger for convenient recharging, a trigger lock for secure charging, and an Allen screwdriver for installation and laser aim adjustments. These accessories ensure that users have everything needed to properly install and maintain the light, enhancing its functionality and ease of use.

How does the beam distance of the TSM-13G's light affect its use in tactical scenarios?

The TSM-13G's light has a beam distance of up to 104 meters, which is beneficial for tactical scenarios. This range allows users to illuminate distant targets and environments, providing a tactical advantage in low-light conditions. The bright white beam can help identify potential threats and navigate through dark areas. However, users should be aware that the intensity of the light can also reveal their position, so it should be used judiciously to maintain tactical discretion.
