The Original MBUS.

The MBUS (Magpul® Back-Up Sight) is a cost-effective, injection-molded, folding back-up sight. The MBUS Front Sight is designed for AR15/M16 platforms and fits most 1913 Picatinny-railed hand guards. It is adjustable for elevation, with an included adjustment tool, though most aftermarket A2 front sight tools will also work.

Made in the USA, the MBUS Front Sight provides reliable, lightweight performance with impact-resistant polymer construction.

Features:

• Spring-Loaded Flip-Up Sight: Easily activated from either side or by pressing the top.

• Protective Design: Protective wings shield the spring-locking A2 front sight post from damage.
• Impact-Resistant Polymer Construction: Light weight and highly durable, able to resist operational abuse.

• Secure and Functional: Detent and spring pressure keep the sight erect, but allow it to fold under impact without damage.

• Compatible with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rails: Designed for use on most MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny / STANAG 4694-railed hand guards, providing the same height-over-bore as standard A2 iron sights.

Note: The MBUS Front Sight cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to excess heat. It must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail, and is not compatible with MOE Hand Guards.
