This design ensures that the barrel remains stiff where it counts, while shedding unnecessary weight to improve handling and balance.

Constructed from 4150 CMV bar stock, the barrel is salt-bath QPQ nitrided inside and out, providing superior hardness and corrosion resistance. The mid-length gas system is engineered for a softer recoil impulse, reducing wear and enhancing performance when used with suppressors. Each barrel is meticulously machined, stress relieved, and qualified to ensure precision and reliability.

This barrel is headspaced and ready to install, featuring an M4 feed-ramp extension torqued to 150 ft-lb and pinned. Its versatility is further enhanced by compatibility with a wide range of AR-15 components, making it an ideal choice for home-defense carbines, training rifles, and competition builds.

Key Features

Cartridge/Chamber: 5.56 NATO, compatible with .223 Remington

Length: 16.13" (16" nominal)

Profile: Gunner - combines Government taper and Pencil weight

Material: 4150 CMV bar stock

Finish: Salt-bath QPQ nitride for enhanced durability

Gas System: Mid-length with .081" port size

Twist/Rifling: 1:8 RH, 6-groove button rifling

Weight: 1.37 lb

Muzzle Thread: 1/2x28 UNEF-2A, compatible with various muzzle devices

Headspace: 100% checked with 5.56 go/no-go gauge

Made in: Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Warranty: Faxon Lifetime Guarantee

Specifications

Muzzle Devices: Compatible with 1/2x28 threaded devices, including MuzzLok 5.56 flash hider and Gunner 3-port brake

Extension: M4 feed ramps, black oxide finish

Gas Block: .625" low-profile, adjustable or fixed

Handguard Compatibility: Fits any free-float handguard that clears a .750" step

Ammunition: Suitable for 55 to 77 gr bullets

Gas Journal: .625" (.6240–.6247"), 1.9" long
